A film which has won numerous accolades at various film festivals including Chitrabharathi Award for Best Indian Film at Bangalore Film festival

 Rajathachakoram (Audience prize) at IFFK-2014. Releasing on 5th June’2015 through KSFDC Unto the Dusk (Asthamayam vare), the film which went on to receive numerous achievements including Best Indian film at Bangalore Film festival 2014, Rajathachakarom, audience prize at IFFK-2014 is hitting the theatres on this World Environment day, 5th June through KSFDC.

The film which was world premiered at India Gold competition section at Mumbai Film Festival is also one among the two movies which was selected for competition at IFFK-2014. Apart from winning the audience prize the film was also awarded with the merit certificate for promotion at international market and even won the Best Debut Director Award from Kerala Film Critics Association.

If the film emerged out to be distinct from the mainstream Malayalam cinema, the credit is attributed not only to its contemporary significance, mesmerizing visuals or creative narration but also for treatment the director, Sajin Baabu has given disregarding the usual cinema recipe. He has done various documentaries & short movies however Unto the Dusk is his first full-length feature movie.

The protagonist who is compelled to be a seminarian by his parents happens to be doubted for his involvement in a criminal incident, there upon leaves the seminary and set out for his journey of self-discovery is the storyline of the movie.

Another highlight of the film is its locations wherein major part was shot in deep forests. Unto the Dusk is one among the few movies which has portrayed the vividness of forest so significantly and befittingly the film is all set to release on World environment Day.

The team of the film include Karthik Muthukumar as the cinematographer, Karthik Jogesh as editor, sound mixing by N.Hari Kumar, co-produced by M.P Sheeja & L.Geetha and Screenplay by Jose John & Sajin Babu.

The film was screened at various film festival like Mumbai Academy of Moving Image’s Mumbai Film Festival, Chennai International Film Festival, Kochi Muziris-Biennale, Delhi Film Festival, Nasik Film Festival, Delhi Habitat Film Festival etc.

Often such independent films do not invite much audience in theatres; to overcome this lacuna to certain extent and attract maximum crowd, the film crew have been distributing passes through film society and other agents.
